‘I am Dandy: The Return of the Elegant Gentleman’ BOOK LAUNCH IN LONDON

'I am Dandy: The Return of the Elegant Gentleman' BOOK LAUNCH IN LONDON

‘I am Dandy: The Return of the Elegant Gentleman’ Book by Rose Callahan (Author, Editor) & Nathaniel Adams (Editor) is clearly in the top of my Christmas wish list!

I visited the book launch in London that took place in Gieves & Hawkes Shop on the Savile Row. It was such an amazing & inspirational evening.

One could sit and stare all night at all these flamboyant dandies!

Friday 13th

Friday 13th

Dear Jonathan,

hope you are well!

Today is Friday 13th, not too long left till Christmas.

I am writing to introduce you to my believes & activities.

I am an activist supporting British craftsmanship and heritage.
I strongly believe that UK should invest more money & time in developing manufacturing resources in the country and not letting the heritage to die.
We should be proud of craftsmen in the country and give them opportunity to work.

I have developed a brand: FOXHUNT Menswear, to unite & give a chance for the talented knitters to work and express their abilities.

FOXHUNT Menswear- luxury bespoke & RTW knitwear exclusively
for men. Hand knitted in Britain using traditional knitting techniques & local materials. FOXHUNT garments are designed to last.

British Craftsmanship

Do you still remember the times when one used to have a few sets of clothing carefully tailored & maintained that would last for decades?

Clothing used to be your second skin clearly differentiating you from the others.

Now I feel that fashion made us all to loose our skins and put similar uniforms instead. Why do we listen? Why do we all want to be the same?

Consumerism made us to forget about the craftsmanship and formed rather a negative attitude towards it: ‘ this is just what my grandpa would care about’.

I believe that if we keep continuing to be ignorant to the fact that there is less and less skillful craftsmen left we will soon see their work in the museum behind the glass.

Lets bring it back! Lets make people to admire the craftsmanship again!

I simply do not want to see the British heritage vanishing.
